We are currently hiring for a US Sales Lead.

Sales Lead – US Market

We are looking for a Sales Lead to join our team to take ownership of driving new business in the US. This is a high-ownership role for a true seller, someone who thrives in outbound sales, builds strong relationships, and delivers results in a start-up environment. If you want to be a force for good through your work and make a tangible societal impact – this role is for you.

You’ll be responsible for owning the entire sales cycle; from cold outreach, deal closing, and onboarding. As an Early Stage Sales Lead at Project 529, you’ll have plenty of growth opportunities as we scale – both in the US and globally. This is an exciting role where you’ll play a part in shaping Project 529’s presence in an important market.

What you will do

  • Manage the full sales cycle for inbound and outbound sales; prospecting, closing, onboarding, and ensuring a smooth client transition to the Account Manager.
  • Drive outbound sales: perform prospecting via email, phone, and in-person visits, especially within the first 3 months.
  • Own the Hubspot sales pipeline and deal performance tracking.
  • Lead RFP submissions and close contracts.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams, including Sales Operations, Account Management, Marketing and Product Development, to align offerings with market needs.
  • Prepare and present sales forecasts, reports, and presentations to senior management.
  • Identify and grow our partner network in the US, including independent bike shops, large retailers, and Government organisations.
  • Own your region (US) and make a real impact on growth from Day 1.

What you will need

  • 4+ years of experience in SaaS business development or B2B sales, ideally in a fast-paced or startup environment.
  • Experience selling to government institutions such as Law Enforcement, Universities, and City Councils is preferred, but not essential.
  • Technical aptitude to quickly understand and confidently communicate and demo Project 529’s software capabilities.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet and exceed sales quotas and targets.
  • Experience with in-person client interactions.
  • High energy and self-motivation – you’re comfortable working independently, managing your time, and pushing through ambiguity.
  • Passion for making a societal impact.
  • Must be able to travel for work and meetings as required.
  • Being a cyclist is desirable, but not essential.
